THE ROLE:

The Senior Investment Analyst will support the day to day running of the overall investment portfolio of this growing Asset Management Department as well as assist in the accurate and timely reporting of key information to the management team and other relevant stakeholders. The role will be responsible for writing and updating the policies and procedures of the Department. Furthermore the role will also focus on writing reports and presentations as well as supporting the team on all things relating to analysis of new investments.

THE ACCOUNTABILITIES:

The Senior Analyst will take the lead on projects including writing and reviewing policies and procedures for the department. In collaboration with the Treasurer and Fixed Income Manager, the role will further develop the processes, guidelines and tools as well as introduce new investment ideas and products that will maximise the risk adjusted returns of the department. In this key role, the Senior Investment Analyst will create and deliver presentations to Management, Board members as well as external parties. An experienced Analyst, this role will conduct statistical/financial analysis to identify market trends and investment opportunities and assist in periodic monitoring and tracking of the investment portfolio performance. This role will act as an expert in report writing and developing engaging presentations within the department whilst also be the analytical support to the team across the portfolio.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO THE ROLE:


Successful candidates will hold at least a Bsc degree in Finance, Commerce or other related technical field and have more than 5 years of experience in a similar role with a bank or other financial institution. You will be a logical and analytical thinker with a great eye for detail whilst being a confident communicator at all levels. Your presentation skills and report writing will be second to none and you will be experienced in financial modelling. You will have proven experience in writing and reviewing investment policies and guidelines and passionate about the continuing improvement of processes and tools within the department.
